Located between downtown Detroit and Bloomfield Hills
The S. pace Detroit is a retail gallery exhibiting
Authentic 20th Century & Modern Design, Art + Objects
Opened in 2017, the Detroit natives, including a University of Michigan Alumnus, expanded with The S. pace Detroit, now a globally recognized dealer of Mid-Century Modern and Contemporary design, art, furniture & objects.
What We Do:
We fill The S. pace with some of the most collectible names from the 1930s - 1980s. Many of the designers we feature have ties to the Detroit area, attended Cranbrook or their pieces were made in Michigan. These include Paul Evans, Harry Bertoia, Eames, Eero Saarinen, Michele Oka Doner and Jackie Ferrara. We also work with and support a variety of institutions and foundations, e.g., The Harry Bertoia Foundation.
Modern Studio Works and Exploratory Furniture by Caleb Woodard.
We are Open:
Wednesday-Saturday | 12-6pm or by appointment. 514 S. Washington, Royal Oak, MI 48067
We actively buy from private sellers all things mid-century modern. Our acquisitions are single pieces to purchasing entire estates of furniture, objects and art. Drop in, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 248-439-0585.
